Jonny Ross Music
Having music at your wedding is very important, whether it is a DJ for party or live band. Live band weddings are so attractive and better than dj for wedding. But different people prefer different things so it is sometimes up to you to make the choice. However, before you go looking for dj hire prices or dj for wedding party, here are a few mistakes you would want to avoid.
1. Dismissing the idea before doing some research: If you have a bigger budget, live band in wedding is certainly something you should think about. However, many prefer djs because dj hire prices are lower than the amount you can pay for a live band. That does not mean all djs charge lower than all live bands so you might want to do some work in research. Again, a DJ for party or a wedding reception dj could be more preferable if you want as many songs. 2. Starting the ceremony in silence: Waiting in silence can seem a long time for guests and even family members. It is a good consideration to have dj for party and live bands in wedding starting 20 minutes before starting of the ceremony. This kind of an arrangement helps signal guests that it is time to get seated or get quiet and ready for the event. 3. Offending people with the ceremony music: Since many people hold weddings in a church, the kind of music to look for even as you hire dj for corporate events and weddings should be selected carefully. Ask the wedding reception dj to select music that suits your audience type and preferences, which should certainly be the group in which you fit. 4. Not doing a sound check: Ensuring that the dj for party and live band for wedding does a sound test is the best way of preparing music guys for the event. Request them to do a walk-through if they haven’t been to the site before. If it is possible, the best way of dealing with this problem is asking them to attend the wedding rehearsal. 5. Not meeting the musician until at the wedding: Sending people who you trust to work best for your interest is something right to do. However, make sure you can check the list yourself, go to a showcase or practice if possible or hear their recorded lists that they intend to play. 6. Playing at a nightclub-level volume: This is going to make it hard for guests to hear each other. Never make it hard for them to the point of them wanting to shout loud in order to be heard by others. You can request for low volume during cocktail hour and dinner such as instrumentals and soft ballads. You can have loud volumes once everyone is out, for instance when playing he final song. 7. Choosing a very long first dance song: Four minutes will be too long rocking back and forth, so keep it to two. You can test out that very well during the rehearsals.
